What changes
The first weeks of Field notes showed that players explore many different words without repeating the same ones dozens of times. We have lowered verification and progression thresholds, recovering eligible progress from submissions already made this Season.
Improved
- Verification: a word now needs 4 submissions from 4 different people, instead of 20 submissions from 4 people. Rehabilitation of flagged words is unchanged.
- Word tiers: FIRST stays at 1 submission; GHOST goes from 75 to 20, RARE from 150 to 60, UNCOMMON from 300 to 150, COMMON from 600 to 300, FREQUENT from 1,000 to 600, POPULAR from 1,800 to 1,200, UBIQUITOUS from 3,000 to 2,400 and LEGENDARY from 5,000 to 4,800. Existing DISCOVERY tickets evolve without changing owners.
- MILESTONE: thresholds change from 100 / 250 / 500 / 1,000 / 2,000 / 3,000 / 5,000 / 7,500 / 10,000 to 25 / 75 / 150 / 300 / 600 / 1,200 / 2,400 / 4,800 / 8,000. These are separate from word tiers: each ticket belongs to the person whose submission reaches that number.
Notes
- The Season's four #100 tickets are replaced with tickets for the new thresholds already reached. Each goes to the author of the corresponding historical submission, not automatically to the previous #100 owner.
- You do not need to resubmit words. Eligible missing rewards and evolutions are recovered, including connected cumulative MASTERY progress and LexiPass XP. Previously credited rewards are retained and deducted from the same player's replacement MILESTONE rewards to avoid paying twice.
- Verification requirements at each reward's qualifying moment and the original daily verification XP limit still apply. Recovering past verifications does not use today's allowance. Achievements tied to the moment of play are not recreated.
- Unlocked LexiPass rewards remain yours to claim; purchases and premium access are unchanged. Crown's formula and caps are unchanged, but recovered progress can change scores and positions.
